Well, It has Been a wonderfully Productive past few weeks...Been Working at the Squirrel Island Studio With Mark Richardson of Alchematic productions. "Spirit of a woman" is the album title For Kelly Jackson's debut...Really inspired songs and the album is sounding great!. Working with Kelly has been great! Been having fun working out the arrangements and really just connecting musically. Be on the look out for the release around Christmas time...

In the Meantime, I've been working with Dan Cable and Charlie Strong on my next project.

All in all we have about 15 songs that I'll narrow down to 11 or 12... I'm excited to be releasing new songs on this album, there will be a few older songs in the mix that haven't been given a proper release. I maintain my excitement for them also. I'm really just looking forward to this album! I'm looking to finishing up the songs with some really talented players...fingers crossed for Mandolin, Fiddle, Pedal steel, Accordian/keys...a nice solid attempt at Blue-country FolkGrass....

Next up is a Project for Sharon Iltis! We start Monday on her album...I'll be providing some Upright bass for the production and possibly some guitar. check her out at www.sharoniltismusic.com

It's been so long I can't remember when...I thought 2010, probably more like 2009 or '08...

Brook Pridemore was Touring with Isaac Gillespie to support his release of "A Brighter Light", which is a great record BTW; and they stopped in Rhinelander to play a show at the charter school. I recorded that show. I'll be sending that material to crafty records for review and possible release. In the meantime, visit Brook and Isaac's websites for updates on them.

Happy to announce the live recordings from the "baby~bearstock" celebration are almost ready for you to enjoy!

I'm working now on the 2nd volume of the b tapes... volume 2 will feature songs written and recorded over the past year. Thinking about sneak peak singles ..."love is just..." has been streaming on the site here for a while, and scottkirbymusic on MySpace features a live recording at plums in St. Paul .. thanks to Nick Hensley for that opportunity. Hey folks! I have weekly schedule for this fall and winter. Sundays at smokeez in eagle river, tuesdays at the little brown jug in minocqua, Wednesday with tuck pence at the little brown jug, Thursday is open mic night at the northwestern, and every Saturday night I'm at otto's in minocqua. So when you got an itch to get out this season, stop by and see me at any of these fine establishments.

I will be appearing at Smokeez on friday Sept 17th and will no longer be appearing every monday night. shecdule is set to begin sundays in oct.

Well I hope you all are doing well. February is upon us and with it the promise of spring is right around the corner. I'm covering alot of ground this month with shows from Duluth, MN to Decorah, IA; and a few cities in between. The new album has brought a bunch of energy with it, and I'm Happy to see that the new material is making its way into the cosm..

The Lyrics will be posted under the music section here. I am currently working on getting those uploaded.

A few folks have been asking about the "next" album.. I can honestly say I'm not sure when It will be coming out... but my hopes are to have enough material together to put out the next installment by early fall. But I am not setting any dates on that as of now, playing shows and promoting the albums that have been released thus far is my main priority for the time being...

Let me just say, I love going to Duluth. It's a wonderful place! I am very appreciative for the opportunity to go back again and again. It seems as though there are always new people to meet and play for. Great to Meet Nate, and Beth. I'm glad you guys stuck around and enjoyed the music. Beth, I'm glad the music helped lift your spirits. I hope you enjoy the cd's and share my music with your friends. That hour long commute to work, well, you might get to hear the whole album going one way.

Jake and Kyle Are two excellent guys. Thanks for taking care of my thirst with a delicious array of Brews. It's nice to see familiar faces behind the bar.

Well tonight I perform at the Fitger's Brewhouse. The past 2 shows have been greatly attended. I shall pick up my new album tomorrow...and then perform at the Acadia Cafe in Minneapolis. as I sit down to reflect on this day and this journey I am faced with not wanting to say anything. However, The CMT awards were in town last night,
I was at a place called the blue bar, apparently a private party was happening across the street at a place called losers, catering to the likes of Kid Rock and Toby Keith, yada yada yada ... I didn't meet any of them...:)

It's just been a really great experience to come down here and meet so many songwriters. It's really a great community of music... that's what makes this place so awesome...
Thanks to Eric and Gus for letting me crash at their house for a little more than a week, It would have gotten awefully uncomfortable if I would have kept sleepin in my car. well ... i would've done it, maybe...but I am blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. thanks very much...I feel my time is drawing to an end here in music city as business needs to be tended to back at the apple love music home...
Dec is an important month and Albums won't get released on their own...

I had started off with the chorus and 2 of the verses that needed a little work, but thanks to the fabulous tennessee afternoon, gus and eric's porch- this song is now done.
