Can you find the old Irish friendship wish?

outside the rain falls to the ground and the smoke rings from a cigarette circle 'round my spinning head New York coast this time of year is where there still is promise of new love new faces and new regrets and when you finally hit the top they say there's room in california like woody said don't forget to bring the  do-re-mi this gypsy ride a nomad's life it will surely get you places until you've found that rolling stones don't gather moss

"and when  you wake up and you find yourself alone with nothing but holes in your pockets holes in your shoes and holes in your soul as you go chasing rainbows searching for a pot of gold I wish you well"

So why not go and follow your heart because your mind just might betray you you won't see that there's a noose around your neck and you're not running away from a problem or a duty but running towards the dawning of the day you got no chains holding you down there is no fence you need escape through just the barriers you have made up in your mind so here's to one here's to all that will answer when they hear the trumpet call and see their ship is coming in

May there always be work for your hands to do may your purse always hold a coin or two may the sun always shine on your window pane may a rainbow be certain to follow each rain may the hand of a friend always be near you may god fill your heart with gladness to cheer you
