Scott Kirby: Music
Don't Look Back
(Scott Kirby)
It seems for all of my life I've been losing
and I can't seem to get things right
I keep trippin' over horses in my marathon of life
with just a dollar in my pocket and a nickel from the night before
I'm pushin' sixty on this winter night
with everything locked down to the floor
and this train's gonna roll on down the track
listenin' to bobby D when he tells you
don't look back
when fogarty once told of a rich man's son
he had it right
some people got that hollywood
it's the rich and famous life
you know you can go most anywhere
to see the castles of today
but the beggar on the street corner
still won't have too much to say
