Travelin' song

I made a trip out to Cleveland OH for a show in 2008 at a place called the Barking Spider Tavern...

i was listening to alot of good traveling music and was caught somewhere in between the events of the day and the events of myself.

Heading back home I stopped off in Flint MI for a few days to visit with some family and ended up playing at Good Beans, a local hot spot for the Arts Scene...

This song was written shortly after getting back home.

We've been drivin' down this highway paying tolls to see the skyway lightin' up against an Erie winter's day there ain't no words to use describin' all the things on the horizon so we pack our bags and leave our yesterday you know tomorrow's gonna come with rain maybe sunlight so make the most of everyday moving down this road of life

Now everyday you read about it and you see it on your tv this war is on the costs are up and livin' aint too easy faced with so many desicions and reason provisions to ponder so faithfully what be your purpose just fighting off curses that have no authority and it's been a bad year for raising hell so when that fire starts to burn know how to use it well

She said everytime I take a step to move me from my past there's this big old weight just barrying down trying to hold me back all the nights that I remember and the days I can't forget trying so damn to get ahead it just hasn't happened yet but I put in all my time trying to make this garden grow as everybody knows you can only reap the things you sow
